How to paint a room?

Step 1: Make a Plan to paint a room

Before starting a task or anything plan is the most crucial factor for success. And when you are going to makeover your room or just going to paint your room following are the most important thing that you must need consider while you are making a plan;

Step 3: Preparing the Walls to paint a room

So, when the room is ready, start with stripping the old wallpaper or painting with the help of sandpaper or other removal tools. Also, scrape off the flaking paint from the wall. Remove all the loose stuff and make the appearance of the wall as much smooth as you can. Fill the dings using spackle or with wood filler, if any, to get a smooth finish of the wall. Let them dry and smooth with sandpaper and prime them.

Painting the top is similar to the painting of walls just make sure do not over brush or roll.

Also, do not brush or roll too fast because it would not let sit the paint on the base properly. Usually the ceiling color is different then the walls so to get proper finishing once the ceiling is dry mask is off with painter’s tape and ten start doing the walls. Always dip the brush about third of the way in paint and tap a little bit with bucket to remove the excess paint and to prevent run. Then apply on the walls smoothly with gentle strokes.


If you are using a roller then you will definitely need a roller grid, put it in the paint bucket. Then take a roller and bamp it with the help of a wet rug. Before using it, Dip the roller a little bit, then roll it 4 to 6 times on the roller grid to even out the paint on the roller for good application. Then gently start applying paint on the wall with slow to medium movements to avoid splatter and do not press or squeez the roller just reload when its needed. That’s it after painting. Clean your tools as soon as possible with paint remover.
